Indian president to make first-ever official visit to Turkmenistan

President of India Ram Nath Kovind will visit Ashgabat April 1-4, Report informs.

This will be the first-ever visit of an Indian president to Turkmenistan.

During the official visit, a meeting with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is planned.

The parties will discuss various issues of bilateral and regional cooperation, including the implementation of the decisions of the Central Asia-India summit held in January this year.

It is also expected to sign some agreements and memorandums of understanding. After a visit to Turkmenistan, Ram Nath Kovind will travel to the Netherlands.
