Indian experts approve world's first DNA-vaccine against coronavirus

Experts of the Indian drug regulator have recommended approving the three-dose vaccine against coronavirus ZyCoV-D, the world's first DNA vaccine, CNBC-TV18 reports.

Report informs, citing RIA Novosti, that the vaccine producer - Indian company Zydus Cadila - will present additional data on the two-dose vaccine.

ZyCoV-D is a vaccine based on the plasmid DNA, which produces the spike protein SARS-CoV-2 and triggers an immune response mediated by the cellular and antibody response of the human immune system.
