IAEA chief: Radiation at Chornobyl nuclear power plant is "anomalous"

The level of radiation at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant is "anomalous" after a month of Russian military operations in Ukraine.

Report informs citing Ukrainian media that the director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, said this during his visit to the Chornobyl nuclear power plant.

The director-general of the IAEA stressed that the brief Russian occupation of the station was "very, very dangerous".

Ukraine noted that the seizure of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant by Russians is nuclear terrorism and called on the IAEA to appeal to NATO with a demand to close access to the airspace over the nuclear facilities.
