French President Emmanuel Macron was not aware of Telegram owner Pavel Durov's arrival in France and was not scheduled to meet with him, he said on August 29 during a press conference during his two-day visit to Serbia, Report informs referring to The Jerusalem Post.
Following the arrest on Saturday, a French judge put Durov under formal investigation on Wednesday for suspected complicity in running an online platform that allows illicit transactions, child sex abuse images, drug trafficking and fraud.
