Hurricane Idalia leaves 60% of Cuba’s western province population without electricity

Tropical storm Idalia, which intensified into a hurricane on August 29 morning, disrupted power supplies to several areas of the western Cuban province of Pinar del Rio, Report informs referring to TASS.

Due to gusts of wind and heavy rainfall, about 60% of consumers currently do not have access to electricity.

In total, more than 570,000 people live in the region. No casualties or damage were reported.
