Hungary will purchase 44 Leopard 2A7 tanks from Germany, which will be part of the NATO armored brigade, Hungarian Defense Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky said following his visit to the Krauss-Maffei Wegmann plant in Munich, Report informs.
“Hungary has ordered 44 high-tech Leopard 2A7 vehicles, which will be part of a heavy brigade formed by NATO, but guaranteeing the security of Hungary,” the defense minister said in a video message on Facebook.
He noted that other military equipment for the Hungarian armed forces will be purchased from Germany as well.
