A new batch of 35 mm caliber shells designed for Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns has arrived from Germany to Ukraine, Report informs referring to TASS citing the Ministry of Defense of the federal republic.
According to the head of the ministry, Boris Pistorius, Ukraine needs air defense systems and ammunition. “By resuming the production of shells for Gepard, we are paying attention to both aspects,” he said in the message.
"By the end of the year, 40,000 shells will have been produced and delivered [to Kyiv]," the concern Rheinmetall reported for its part, without giving more precise information.
