The German government has released a 2019 report on the funds spent on refugees and migrants.
According to the report, the German government has allocated €23 billion to 16 federal states to help asylum seekers, says Report’s local bureau.
Of this amount, 6.3 billion euros were spent on their integration.
Moreover, the federal government allotted €2.4 billion on their language courses, and €1.9 billion on accommodation and living conditions.
Last year, Germany spent €8.4 billion to eliminate the causes of forced migration.
In 2018, the country earmarked €15.5 billion on refugees, including a 1.6 billion reserve fund.
