German Tornado fighters showcase precision bombing skills in Alaska

During the Pacific Skies 24 exercise in Alaska, German Tornado fighter jet crews showcased their skills in dropping high-precision GBU-54 laser-guided bombs, the German Air Force said, Report informs via Münchner Merkur.

In a remarkable display of aerial prowess, the fighter jets descended to an extremely low altitude of just 30 meters, a maneuver not performed for many years. The Tornados maintained this challenging low-level flight, only ascending moments before launching their attacks.

The exercise focused on the deployment of the sophisticated GBU-54 laser-guided bombs, renowned for their pinpoint accuracy. These advanced munitions allow the German Air Force to strike targets with exceptional precision, minimizing collateral damage.
