German defense minister announces resignation

Germany's Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht announced her resignation on Monday.

Report informs that Lambrecht submitted her resignation to Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

According to the information, Lambrecht’s successor would be announced on Tuesday. Some of the possible contenders include SPD party head Lars Klingbeil and Labour Minister Hubertus Heil.
