German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will appear at the G20 summit in India with an eye patch, Report informs via TASS.
Scholz will still wear an eye patch when he meets with US President Joe Biden and other heads of government at the G20 summit in New Delhi this weekend, the chancellor's office said.
This is because, as the Bild newspaper explains, during this period, the skin around the chancellor's eye "will change several shades - from red, blue and green to yellow and brown." Bild clarified that the idea to wear a bandage came from Scholz himself, who refused to use concealer cosmetics to allow the wound to "heal in peace."
On Monday, Scholz appeared at a public event for the first time since his injury and said he was in good health. The chancellor also posted a photo with a bandage over his right eye and abrasions on his face. At the event in Berlin, Scholz also appeared with an eye patch.
