The degradation of regional and international security is due to the growing number of armed conflicts in the world, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Army Valery Gerasimov said on December 18 at a briefing for foreign military attachés, Report informs via Interfax.
"Today we are witnessing the provocation of crises in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. At the same time, the world is increasingly understanding the need for collective counteraction to such Western policies," the chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces emphasized.
In his opinion, the countries of the Global South, as well as the participants of the international associations SCO and BRICS, are increasingly coordinating steps to ensure sovereignty and protect their national interests.
