Georgia's special rep says flights resumption with Russia not on agenda

The issue of resuming direct flights between Georgia and Russia is not on the agenda now, Zurab Abashidze, Special Representative of the Georgian Prime Minister for the settlement of relations with Russia, said, Report informs via TASS.

"We know that Moscow is considering the issue of simplifying the visa regime for citizens of a number of countries, including Georgia. In this regard, I would like to remind you that back in 2011 Georgia abolished visa requirements for Russian citizens, which is relevant to this day. That is, Russian citizens do not need visas to visit Georgia. As for the resumption of direct flights, this issue is not on our agenda now," Abashidze said.
