US President Donald Trump is disrupting the international order, French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou said in a statement to CNEWS, Report informs.
"You ask, is the US our ally? Does an ally decide to side with our opponents, to join the ranks of those who are disrupting the world order? This is called 'disruption of the world order,'" he said.
According to Bayrou, the US President is turning his allies into opponents, thereby exacerbating the global situation.
"The only thing I agree with Trump is that Europe will have to defend itself with its own strength," he noted.
Speaking about the tariffs planned by the US, the prime minister stressed that the trade war declared by Trump against Europe would cause problems for the French economy.
