France to evacuate entire embassy staff from Kabul asap

The current situation in Afghanistan requires the evacuation of the entire staff of the French embassy from Kabul as soon as possible, French President Emmanual Macron said, speaking at a joint news conference with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, Report informs, citing Russian media.

"The situation will be particularly dangerous for everyone in the Kabul airport and its surrounding in the coming hours," Macron said.

He added that the French ambassador, the embassy staff, and other French nationals are at the airport.

"They will leave Afghanistan soon," the French president noted.
