France's new PM meets some political party leaders

France's new Prime Minister François Bayrou held meetings with political party leaders to determine the composition of the government, Report informs via BFM TV.

The first to arrive at the Prime Minister's residence were Jordan Bardella, leader of the French far-right National Rally party, and Marine Le Pen, head of the party's parliamentary faction.

Following the meeting, Le Pen noted that it was too early to judge whether the Prime Minister had heard them. She also mentioned that Bayrou plans to "take into account the opinions of all political forces" represented in the National Assembly.

Then, talks were held at the Matignon Palace between the Prime Minister and Gabriel Attal, the former Prime Minister and chairman of the presidential coalition "Together for the Republic."

He did not comment on the meeting's outcome.

After that, Socialist Party representatives Olivier Faure, Patrick Cannée, and Boris Vallaud arrived for consultation with the Prime Minister. Meanwhile, Mathilde Panot, leader of the far-left "France Unbowed" parliamentary faction, declined the invitation to meet with the Prime Minister.

According to the TV channel, the order of meetings between the Prime Minister and party leaders was determined by the number of party representatives in parliament.
