France may reduce time for booster jab after 2nd vaccination

French High Council for Public Health has recommended reducing the time between COVID vaccination and a booster vaccine to three months, Report informs referring to Interfax.

This is due to the fifth wave of the coronavirus pandemic and the rapid spread of a particularly contagious omicron strain in France.

The Council also advocated the introduction of a booster shot for adolescents aged 12-17 with health problems.

More than 90,000 new cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in France over the past day, an all-time record in the country since the start of the pandemic.
