All five people on board the Cessna T206 aircraft that crashed in Colombia have died, Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella announced on X, Report informs.
The aircraft, registration number HK‑4985, disappeared from radar on the morning of September 13 while en route to Bogotá.
"Unfortunately, authorities confirmed that everyone on board was found dead," the president stated.
The last contact with the plane was near the mountainous forested area on the border of Chocó and Risaralda departments. Search teams later identified the presumed crash site in Tatamá National Nature Park.
The aircraft was located in a difficult mountainous area, where complex terrain and weather conditions hindered rescue operations. Helicopters were required to transport rescuers to the site.
