Finland, Sweden to discuss NATO accession with Turkiye by end of month

The representatives of Ankara, Helsinki, and Stockholm will hold a meeting in August to discuss Finland's and Sweden's NATO accession, Finland's Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto said.

"The foreign ministry of the country is currently preparing for the meeting between the officials of the three countries. It is expected to consider the clauses of the Memorandum of Mutual Understanding agreed upon between Finland, Sweden, and Turkiye at the NATO summit in Madrid," the minister said, as quoted by Jules television company.
