Finland's foreign ministry announces ban on entry for Russian tourists

Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto has said Finland is banning Russian tourists from entering the country amid the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia, Report informs, citing RBC-Ukraine.

The reason for the closure of the borders for the Russians lies in the assessment by the foreign policy leadership of the security situation, which has deteriorated significantly as a result of Russia's mobilization. The security situation is also affected, in particular, by Russia's war in Ukraine and recent attacks on gas pipelines.

The government notes that the entry of Russian citizens jeopardizes Finland's international relations. As a result, the entry of Russians on tourist visas may be rejected or cancelled.
