Explosion rocks near synagogue in France

An explosion occurred near a synagogue in the French department of Hérault in the south of the country after two parked cars were set on fire, according to Report, which cites the television channel BFMTV.

The blast is believed to have been caused by a gas cylinder hidden in one of the vehicles.

A municipal police officer was injured in the incident.

Bomb disposal experts and gendarmes have arrived at the scene to investigate.
