A powerful blast rocked the Libava Military Training Ground in eastern Czech Republic, leaving nine soldiers wounded, Report informs citing Czech news portal lidovky.cz.
The explosion, involving an unspecified type of ammunition, occurred during a training exercise at the military facility. The Czech Ministry of Defense issued a statement acknowledging the serious incident: "We are dealing with a grave situation at the Libava military range, where an as-yet-unidentified type of ammunition has detonated. Unfortunately, there are injuries. We are striving to provide assistance to the wounded as quickly as possible."
Military police have launched an investigation into the incident. An emergency rescue helicopter was dispatched to the scene to aid in the response and evacuation of the injured personnel.
