EU Council President Charles Michel called the attacks of the Russian Armed Forces on a number of Ukrainian cities war crimes.
"Russia’s horrendous attacks against Kyiv and other cities across Ukraine show the desperation of the Kremlin," Charles Michel wrote on his Twitter page.
He said these indiscriminate attacks on civilians are war crimes.
Charles Michel noted that the G7 partner countries will discuss support for Ukraine and the issue of holding the Russian authorities accountable for the attacks.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, agreed on an urgent meeting of the G7countries. It is expected that the meeting will be held on October 11 in video format.
