The Council of the European Union has decided to limit its work to combat the promotion of new coronavirus.
According to the report referencing TASS, this got stated in the statement of the organization.
"The number of meetings of the Council, its preparatory bodies and working groups will be reduced. The chairman will make decisions on what meetings to hold regularly," it says.
Besides, the number of delegations attending the meetings will also be limited. "All groups of visitors and insignificant training will be suspended. Council staff is encouraged to limit internal meetings as far as possible and to continue to follow the recommended hygiene measures carefully," the document says.
The Council also stressed that the list of places subject to travel restrictions for a staff of the Euro-Institute got updated, taking into account the recent decisions of the Italian authorities.
Previously, WHO stated that Coronavirus infection got reported in 101 countries, with the number of cases worldwide rising to 105,586.
