Nearly 50 billion euros from the Next Generation EU post-pandemic economic recovery fund will be directed to projects in education, European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen said at an online forum on education problems, Report informs, citing TASS.
He said 18 EU states would be able to provide students and teachers with electronic devices.
The Next Generation EU fund of 750 billion euros was approved last year for seven years. These funds will be raised as loans through the issuance of Eurobonds to be repaid by 2052.
