EU may keep quarantine, PCR tests in place for vaccinated visitors

The European Commission's proposal to allow vaccinated visitors to enter the EU does not exclude the possibility for the European Union states to require them to comply with sanitary measures, including quarantine and PCR tests, European Commission spokesman Adalbert Jahnz said at a briefing in Brussels, Report informs citing TASS.

"Our proposal provides for the possibility of entering the EU, but it does not prescribe EU countries to exempt these people from existing epidemiological measures, in particular, quarantine or PCR tests," he said.

Earlier, the European Commission recommended that EU countries allow entry of vaccinated tourists.
