EU may introduce seventh package of sanctions against Russia due to referendums in Donbas

The EU may introduce the seventh package of sanctions against Russia if Moscow recognizes the referendums in the Donbas, according to Euractiv, Report informs referring to TASS.

According to sources, persons involved in the organization and conduct of voting may fall under the sanctions.

At the same time, several EU diplomats noted that the chances of accepting the next package, in their opinion, are small, and Hungary could block new restrictions.

The EU may impose sanctions on trade with the regions in the Donbas where the referendums will be held and their financing.
