The European Union will provide Ukraine with 1.5 billion euros of aid per month. The money is provided as part of budgetary assistance, according to the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, Report informs via RBC-Ukraine.
Following the meeting of EU foreign ministers, she said that Europe should support Ukraine. In particular, by the end of winter, European countries will train 75,000 Ukrainian soldiers.
“This month the EU provided Ukraine 4.2 billion support to its budget, and from January we will provide 1,5 billion per month,” added Kallas.
She clarified that additional assistance is also needed. In particular, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said at the meeting of foreign ministers that Ukraine needs more ammunition, stronger air defense and more support for the defense industry.
