A group of European Union countries supports the Czech Republic's proposal to restrict the movement of Russian diplomats within the EU to the territories of the states where they are accredited, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský said before the start of the meeting of the community's foreign ministers.

According to Report, which cites TASS, this proposal has been on the table for nine months.

A group of countries supports this proposal: Romania, Poland, Denmark, the Netherlands, and the three Baltic states, he said.

According to Lipavský, several thousand Russian diplomats are accredited in the EU, and they can move freely throughout the community's territory.
