The Estonian Foreign Ministry has notified the Russian ambassador of the need to reduce the number of Russian diplomats to eight by February 1, Report informs referring to TASS.
“Today, Estonia notified the Ambassador of the Russian Federation of the decision, according to which Russia must reduce the number of its employees by February 1, 2023. The purpose of the decision is to achieve parity in the number of embassy employees, which means that the number of posts in Russian and Estonian representations in the capitals of the countries will be the same,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted.
In this regard, the number of employees of the Russian embassy should be reduced to 8 "diplomatic posts" and up to 15 "administrative, technical and service personnel posts."
