Erdogan to discuss Olympic 'LGBT propaganda' with Pope Francis

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced his intention to discuss the alleged promotion of LGBT themes during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 with Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church, Report informs.

Speaking during the meeting with provincial leaders of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in Ankara, Erdogan labeled the parody of Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper presented at the Olympic opening ceremony as shameful.

"French President Emmanuel Macron had invited me to the Olympic opening, but my 13-year-old grandson managed to dissuade me from going," Erdogan revealed.

"An event that should unite people opened with hostility towards human values. I will make a phone call to the Pope at the first opportunity to discuss this step taken against the entire Christian world. The West has become a hostage of LGBT. If they can't say anything, we will!” he added.
