Erdogan congratulates Turkish people on Ramadan

President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan has congratulated the people of Türkiye on Ramadan, the holy day of Muslims, Report informs via Anadolu.

"This year, we met the month of Ramadan with sadness due to the pain caused by the death of many fellow citizens as a result of February 6 earthquakes. Once again, I wish peace to the souls of over 50,000 victims of earthquakes and floods, and I wish patience to relatives and friends," he said.

The Turkish president noted that the government continued to support the victims of the earthquakes in the holy month of Ramadan: "Neither the election campaign, nor government events or routine issues will make us forget about the needs of the disaster zone."

According to Erdogan, after the Ramadan holiday, educational institutions in the disaster zones will be reopened, and the process of returning citizens will also be accelerated.

"Over 650,000 housing units will be built in the disaster zone as a whole, of which 507,000 will be in cities, and 143,000 will be in villages. Of them, 319,000 will be built and commissioned during the year," the Turkish president added.
