EC to send proposals on new sanctions against Russia to EU permanent reps on December 7

On December 7, the European Commission will send proposals on the ninth package of sanctions against Russia to the permanent representatives of the countries of the EU, Report informs referring to Politico.

As many as 180 individuals can be included in the sanctions lists. In addition, restrictions are being considered in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said at the end of November that the EU is actively working on another package of restrictions against Russia because of the conflict in Ukraine. The EU is working hard to weaken the Russian economy and will not stop until Ukraine wins, she noted.

The EU has already imposed eight packages of sanctions against Russia since February. The latest package of sanctions was approved in early October.
