Ebola death toll in Congo surpasses 1,400

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has recorded 3,200 confirmed cases of Ebola fever, with 1,405 deaths, Report informs via Reuters.

In the past 24 hours alone, 125 new infections and 51 deaths were reported - one of the highest daily figures since the outbreak began.

So far, 571 patients have recovered from the disease.
