Earthquake jolts Ecuador

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake has hit Ecuador, Report informs citing the European - Mediterranean Seismological Center.

According to the information, the epicenter of underground tremors was 7 km northwest of the city of La Mana with a population of nearly 16,400 people. The seismal focus was at a depth of 16 km.

There has been no information about the casualties and destruction.
