Dozens of Taliban killed in Afghanistan

Afghan security forces have neutralized at least 75 Taliban militants in the southern province of Kandahar, Report informs, citing Anadolu.

Afghan Defense Ministry said that as a result of a special operation, the military managed to control Kandahar's Arghandab district.

According to the Kandahar Police Department, several group commanders were among those killed.

The Defense Ministry added that operations to clear the Taliban were also carried out in Zabul, Kunar, Nangarhar, and Takhar provinces.

Taliban officials have warned of their intention to retaliate. The group also announced the killing of Afghan security forces in the country's capital, Kabul.
