Dog beats Finnish PM in struggle for Resident of Tampere

A German shepherd named Topi beat Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin in the race for the title of Resident of Tampere-2020, Report informs, citing ASS.

Readers were asked to vote for one of the 13 famous citizens, which included Topi. The organizers offered to determine who, in their opinion, brought the city the most benefit and made Tampere more popular and recognizable.

By the results of the voting, a dog with 133,000 followers on Instagram got 15% out of almost 4,000 votes. People who supported Topi said the dog helped people love the city and gave a good mood to others. Moreover, three-quarters of the dog's subscribers are foreigners. The new Prime Minister of Finland, Marin, was in second place, behind Topi by only 0.5%.
