Deaths reported as explosion hits Iranian oil pipeline

The explosion of an oil pipeline in the Hormozgan province in southern Iran killed at least two people, Report informs referring to TASS.

The incident occurred in the Bandar Khamir city in the southwest of the province.

Two intruders tried to make a hole in the oil pipeline in order to steal fuel. As a result of the smugglers' actions, an explosion occurred.

Firefighters are currently trying to contain the fire.
