Death toll from Venezuela earthquake surpasses 1,400

The death toll from the earthquake in Venezuela has risen to more than 1,400 as aftershocks continue to hamper rescue operations.

According to Report, citing CNN News, the updated casualty figure was announced by Jorge Rodríguez, the president of Venezuela's National Assembly.
