Damascus Airport to resume international flights on January 7

Damascus Airport will resume international flights on January 7, the head of the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority, Ashhad al-Sulaibi, Report informs via foreign media.

"We announce the start of accepting international flights at Damascus Airport from January 7, 2025," he stated.

Al-Sulaibi did not specify which airlines' flights the airport would accept.

"I can assure Arab and other foreign airlines that, with the help of our partners, we are working to fully restore operations at airports in Damascus and Aleppo," he added.

At the end of 2024, Damascus Airport resumed domestic flights.
