Czech Republic to fine workers refusing to take coronavirus test

The Czech government ordered owners of organizations and enterprises with more than 50 workers to conduct weekly coronavirus testing, Report informs, citing foreign press.

The enterprises and organizations with more than 250 employees will begin rapid antigenic testing on March 3. However, for corporations with less than 250 but more than 50, this process will start on March 5. Smaller companies and those that have moved employees to a remote mode of operation are exempt from testing.

The country's sanitary and epidemiological service will control the implementation of the order. Organizations and enterprises that do not conduct testing should be fined up to 500 thousand kronor (about 20 thousand euros). Their employees can be fined up to 50 thousand kronor (approximately 2 thousand euros) for evading tests.
