Czech Republic announces highest COVID-19 risk level

The Czech minister of Health Jan Blatný announced the highest (fifth) COVID-19 risk level. The country introduced new restrictions, Report states, citing RIA Novosti.

According to the new rules, all stores in the Czech Republic will be closed from December 27 except for pharmacies, food, and household goods stores.

Besides, from 21.00 to 5.00, there will be a curfew in the country, and citizens can gather only in groups of no more than two people.

Earlier, cafes, restaurants, hotels, cultural institutions, and sports complexes suspended activity in the Czech Republic. The curfew will remain in place until January 22, 2021.
