In the coming weeks, a number of military exercises aimed at maintaining stability in the region will be held in Central Asian countries, Mikael Agasandyan, the Director of the First Department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry, told local press, Report informs.
Agasandyan noted that Russia continues its efforts to strengthen the potential of military-political alliances responsible for maintaining stability in the Eurasian region.
“Taking into account the situation in Afghanistan in particular, a series of military exercises are planned to be held in the territory of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in order to maintain stability in the Central Asian region,” the diplomat said.
