A cruise ship with about 1,500 passengers has been unable to leave the port of Barcelona since April 2 due to the presence of Bolivian citizens on board who are believed to have traveled on fake visas, according to the El Pais newspaper, Report informs referring to TASS.
The vessel is owned by MSC. Problems with documents among 69 Bolivians, including 14 minors, were discovered when the liner had already left Brazil.
The final destination of the trip was Italy. Although the ship is not prevented from continuing its journey, it remains in the port of Barcelona.
Spanish authorities want the company to take responsibility for returning Bolivians to their homeland.
