Croatia allocates military aid to Ukraine worth 66.6M euros

The Croatian authorities allocated 66.6 million euros in military assistance to Kyiv in 2024 and will continue to increase the country’s military budget to 2% of GDP as part of its commitments to NATO, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Ivan Anusic said, Report informs referring to foreign media.

The head of the Ministry of Defense is part of the Croatian delegation at the NATO summit on July 9-11 in Washington.

“All NATO members allocate only 40 billion euros per year to Ukraine, and the Republic of Croatia, based on its economic capabilities, should participate in this with 66.6 million euros. Croatia, through subsidies of military equipment to Ukraine, has already reached this amount this year. The figure is 2% Croatia will reach GDP defense contributions by 2027,” he noted.
