A column of 200 tractors of protesting Italian farmers is heading towards Rome, the representative of the joint committee of protesters Galgano Palaferri said, Report informs.
“The column will arrive on Monday evening. Negotiations are now underway with the police to determine our parking location on one of the two highways near the city,” he said.
Farmers come from the southern provinces of Tuscany. Then they will be joined by farmers from other regions of Italy. Farmers have loaded their farm equipment with water and food for a multi-day protest.
Last week, farmer protests in Italy, following other European countries, spread to various agricultural regions of the country.
