CNN: More than 120 people were accused of organizing riots on January 6

More than 120 US residents have already been charged with organizing riots in Washington and seizing the Capitol on January 6, Report states, citing CNN.

The Department of Justice informed the administration of President Joseph Biden about this.

The charges range from illegal entry into the US Congress building to assaulting police officers. Some of the defendants, the TV company notes, are also charged with more severe acts - organizing a conspiracy and threatening to commit violent acts. Representatives of the Ministry of Justice notified the new administration that the "nationwide search" for suspects would continue.

As part of that effort, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives increased the reward this week to $75,000 for information about pipe bombs found near the Capitol on January 6. The increase in the amount of the prize, according to CNN, indicates that law enforcement agencies have not yet seen the criminals who made the explosive devices and brought them to Washington. The latter suggests that the people involved in this well thought out the organization of their operation.
