Clashes between the military of Afghanistan and the border troops of Pakistan began on the border near the Torkham checkpoint, and shootings was heard in the area, Report informs.
As a result of the incident, thousands of civilians have been blocked in the area, and civilians on both sides of the border are leaving their homes.
The Torkham checkpoint is one of the three key trade and transit routes between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Pakistan also uses this point to send its commercial goods to Central Asia.
