Cholera death toll reaches 2,141 in Nigeria 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 65,145 suspected cases of cholera, including 2,141 deaths, representing a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of 3.3 percent reported from 23 states, Report informs, citing foreign media.

The highest number of infections (10,343) was reported in Kano and the death toll from cholera in Katsina. In that state, 150 people died of cholera.

The suspected cases were since the beginning of 2021, with children aged 5 – 14 years as the most affected age group for both males and females.
