China provides other countries with 1B doses of COVID vaccines

Chinese authorities have sent 1 billion doses of coronavirus vaccines to other countries, said Zheng Zhongwei, a top official at China’s National Health Commission, Report informs referring to TASS.

“We have already delivered 1 billion doses of vaccines worldwide and are guaranteeing a total of 2 billion doses by the end of the year,” he said at a health forum as part of the 2021 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS).

He noted that this year the total volume of vaccine production in China will exceed 5 billion doses. He stressed that the country is successfully coping with the pandemic. For all the time, more than 30 local outbreaks of coronavirus have occurred in China, which the state quickly and effectively took under control.

He also noted that China ranks first in the world regarding the number of doses distributed among the population - more than 2 billion. Zhongwei stressed that this number exceeds the combined figure for America, India, and Europe - 1.77 billion doses.
